Our Team

  • Yonathan Goitom

    (Board Member)

I lead the organization, fostering connections, collaborations, and growth for Eritrean professionals through strategic planning and community engagement. I stepped into this leadership role to create a space where Eritrean professionals can connect, collaborate, and grow. Too often, our community lacks access to the networks and opportunities that drive success. I wanted to change that by building an inclusive platform where professionals—regardless of industry—can leverage technology to advance their careers and ambitions.

  • Kokhob Yohannes

I joined to help build an uplifting community where Eritrean professionals in tech can share ideas, expand their skillsets, and create meaningful connections. It’s been inspiring to watch our network evolve—from fostering relationships to opening doors—and to see Eritrean talent thrive across industries. In our organization, I lead marketing and communications initiatives to amplify Eritrean voices, celebrate achievements within our communities, and keep members connected and informed across all platforms.

  • Henok Weldemicael

    (Board Member)

I joined to help build a platform that supports Eritreans in entering the tech industry, especially in software engineering, and leveraging technology in fields like finance, healthcare, law, and education. I drive tech strategy, researching AI, software engineering, and emerging trends to keep our members informed. I curate event topics and connect with Eritrean experts in our industry to bring valuable insights and leverage innovation effectively.

  • Joseph Seyoum

As I was building up our Eritrean community in the DMV, I met many talented Eritreans & saw the need to bring our broader community together. After hosting our first meetup in the Bay Area, I wanted to continue bringing our community together and advance our people using technology. I’m the Swiss-Army knife of the group. Officially I head up Partnerships for the team, growing our brand through collaborations with other organizations. However, in the past I’ve organized events, hosted/moderated panels, run tech demos, and whatever else the team needs.

  • Segen Beshir

I joined Eritreans in Tech because I believe in the mission of bringing people together to share ideas, build connections, and create opportunities. I wanted to be part of a group that uplifts others through mentorship, networking, and career growth, all while giving back to the Eritrean community. As an Event Logistics and Coordinator, l focus on organizing impactful events that foster collaboration, networking, and knowledge-sharing that brings our community together. I wanted to contribute by helping shape events with meaningful experiences that connect Eritrean professionals across industries.

  • Ezana Berhane

I wanted to strengthen connections within the Eritrean tech community, educate others on how technology can elevate their careers and lives, and foster meaningful relationships among Eritrean professionals. I assist with program management, community outreach, and tech administration—helping to organize initiatives, connect members, and ensure smooth technological operations for the program.

  • Nahom Tesfaye

I joined to unite and bring Eritreans together by making tech more accessible through shared experiences. It’s about strengthening our community, creating connections, and helping each other grow in the industry. As a project manager, I plan, execute, and oversee projects that align with the organization’s mission. This varies from defining goals, timelines, and deliverables to addressing potential challenges and delivering contingency plans if needed.
