The Inaugural DMV Meetup marked the first-ever Eritreans in Tech gathering, bringing together 150+ Eritrean professionals from across industries to network, collaborate, and celebrate in an unforgettable night. Hosted at the Eritrean-owned Roasted Boon coffee shop, the event was filled with genuine connections, inspiring conversations, and a shared passion for uplifting our community.

Dozens of attendees shared their stories in recorded interviews, raffles supported Eritrean-owned businesses, and guests enjoyed Eritrean-inspired cocktails like "The Red Sea" and "The Perfect Asmara Tea." The night ended with traditional Eritrean music and dance, proving that when we come together, the energy is unmatched.

What started as a simple idea turned into something much bigger—an overdue gathering that ignited a movement. The sense of community was electric, and the overwhelming response made it clear: this was just the beginning.
